Day 1: Gorge Alpine via ferrata adventure
The Gorge Alpine is a unique mix of a via ferrata and a high rope course. We descend the deep Fee Gorge down to Saas-Grund, always secured on a fixed steel cable. Suspension bridges, Tyroleans, ladders, pendulums and abseiling make this gorge visit an unforgettable adventure and is the ideal preparation for the climbing days ahead.
Start: 15:00 a.m.
Day 2: Rock-climbing instruction
Today is centred entirely on classical rock-climbing. We introduce you to the various methods of belaying and give you tips about correct climbing technique. The various routes in the Kappelenweg climbing crag offer the ideal terrain for this. A day full of learning!
Start: 9:00 a.m.
Day 3: Jaegihorn via ferrata (3206m)
In the last two days you have acquired the requisite know-how for climbing the highest via ferrata of the Western Alps. Form the Kreuzboden cable car station we need a good hour before we get to the start of the Jaegihorn via ferrata. After a short passage over easy grassy stretches, we reach a steep gully, where the ascent is made easier with iron pegs and ladders. It continues over mighty rock blocks and exposed ridges until after about 3 hours, we reach the summit. The view to the four-thousand-metre peaks around the Saas Valley is stunning and the highlight of the tour!
