We take the Alpin Express up to the Felskinn top station where we change to the world's highest underground, the Metro Alpin. Up on 3500m.a.s.l. we fix our crampons and get ready for the ascent. The 500 metres of altitude difference to the summit are relatively easy to master. Walking in a fairly leasure pace, you pass among impressive crevasses and glacier towers. Always attached at the rope of the mountain guide, we will reach after 1h5 the platform of Feejoch, from where you can already enjoy the amazing view to the Monte Rosa massif and the Matterhorn. If needed, a short break can be hold here.
Following up the south-facing side of the Allalinhorn we will reach in another hour the peak. Below the summit cross a 360° panoramic view from the Monte Rosa over the Mischabel chain to the mountains of the Bernese Oberland and Grisons awaits you. Up to 60 4000m peaks includes the breathtaking view from the summit and have to be seen to be believed.
After the souvenir photo on the peak, we are heading on the same route back to the Mittelallalin cable-way station.
