The glacial topped mountain offers a majestic view. The Strahlhorn is the perfect mountain for all strong-legged ski mountaineers for a long skin up.
After a 3 hours climb we arrive at the Adlerpass where you have the first climb over the Western Alps. The last ascent leads over a broad ice field to a long summit ridge. The Strahlhorn can be done from February till March as a day trip from the Metro Alpine mid-station. April onwards needs an overnight stay until the closing of Britannia hut.
