This climb requires an early alpine start. From the Britannia hut the trail initially leads across the Hohlaub glacier.
We then travel along the long, drawn out Allalin glacier, under the east walls of the Rimpfischhorn, to the Adler Pass (3789m). From here we follow the initially defined and then broader ridge to the summit. The views across to the East face of the Monte Rosa, the highest face in the Alps, are stunning.
This climb, although technically very easy, requires a very good measure of fitness. The descent is via the same route.
Best time: 17. June - End-September
