Skitour Alphubel 4206m from Britannia Hut

Ready for a good challenge? Are you acclimatized, physically fit and experienced in ski touring, then take a closer look at the Alphubel. Real alpinism, roped up to your Saas-Fee Guide, you will pass along deep crevasses up to a steep couloir. After several kick turns on ski crampons we will reach the top. The Alphubel is one of the most difficult ski tours in the valley of Saas. You will be rewarded with 2400 meter fall line skiing to the village of Saas Fee. After the ski lifts in Saas-Fee close we still can do this tour starting from the Britannia hut.    Best time:   March - May   Fitness Level Skill Level   Demanding. Medium gradients. Prior experience in ski touring incl. kick turns on steep slopes required. Very good athletic fitness. Skitour Fluchthorn 3795m from Britannia Hut

Whether with skis, snowboard or telemark skis - this technically easy tour will inspire you. Although this summit doesn't reach 4000m, the views to the Monte Rosa East face and the surrounding peaks are just as breathtaking. The long and diverse descents to Saas-Fee offer a fantastic off-piste adventure. After the ski lifts in Saas-Fee close we still can do this tour starting from the Britannia hut and finishing in Saas-Fee.    Best time:   March - May   Fitness Level Skill Level Technically easy. Minimal gradient. Prior knowledge in deep snow required. Skitour Allalinhorn 4027m

If you're an experienced ski mountaineer, this winter climb will be just the right thing for you. Starting from Mittelallalin the route will take us over an extensive ice field of crevasses to the Feejoch. Due to the conditions, we keep continuing with the skis to the summit or we change the skis to the normal crampons to approach the peak. A stunning 360° view to Mont-Blanc, Matterhorn and Piz Bernina is waiting for us. ​The winter climb to Allalinhorn is only recommended for advanced ski touring mountaineers. You have to be able to manage exposed terrain with ski crampons and changing direction with kick turns. The descent among big crevasses and variable snow conditions requires good freeriding skills!    Best time:   March - April 23rd 2023   Fitness Level Skill Level   Demanding. Medium gradients. Skitour Strahlhorn 4190m from Britannia Hut

The glacial topped mountain offers a majestic view. The Strahlhorn is the perfect mountain for all strong-legged ski mountaineers for a long skin up. After a 3 hours climb we arrive at the Adlerpass where you have the first climb over the Western Alps. The last ascent leads over a broad ice field to a long summit ridge. The Strahlhorn can be done from February till March as a day trip from the Metro Alpine mid-station. April onwards needs an overnight stay until the closing of Britannia hut.    Best time:   March 3rd - May 29th 2023   Fitness Level Skill Level   Technically easy. Medium gradients.
